If I was buying one of these I would go for the Royal or the Khyam, simply for the quality, they seem and look better quality than the Outdoor Revolution one, and look like they would be more long lasting.
We used to cook outside under a gazebo, with windbreaks at either side when we had our Sunncamp Vario 6 tunnel tent, and there was plenty of room for all 7 of us to sit and eat, those day tents were not available when my children were small, but they look great for family meals and food prep away from your main tent.
We do now cook in our tent, but that is because it is a Cabanon with a designated cooking area with roll up flaps, but with our Vango Colorado 8DLX we have the extension which makes a great cooking area, and we eat in the main living area of the tent, as we do with the Cabanon.
Hope you find the right solution for you,
Jane.

We have the outhouse XL, and I'd say there is plenty of room for all the cooking stuff, but you would be hard pushed to fit a table and chairs in there as well. With my kitchen stand, cool box/fridge and a few plastic crates around the edges, the floor area that's left is about 1.2 metres square.
It is good quality though, we have has ours for four years and it's been pitched about 15 times, no troubles at all.
We used to use a kitchen tent - just for safety away from the tent & small people. Camped in Scotland so the weather was usually an issue! I think it was an Outwell...have a fab picture of it (showing we took everything including the kitchen sink!)...but not sure how to post.
