I now use a camp bed with my 10cm SIM, but only because I have a knee problem. Personally I sleep better with the SIM on the floor but I can get up from the camp bed easier than the floor, If you are fit enough I'd try sim alone before spending on a camp bed. It' another bulky thing to pack an another thing than needs assembled. As pointed out already, they are good for hiding all your debris underneath though :).

I have a camp bed on top of which I use an airbed. Between the airbed and the camp be I put a picnic blanket and then I put a fitted sheet over the airbed. I sleep very well and it is much easier to get out of bed in the morning.
