We have two of these:

lanterns

They work well but haven't used the wind up part in anger. A charge lasts about a week.

Headtorches are these:

Last about a week on a charge but need a dedicated charger. They do charge off a cigarette socket as well.
I got fed up changing the batteries in my petzl. This is cheaper but brighter.

Wow thanks for the so many replies.

Lantern I went with April suggestion, they are coming tomorrow :) for outside I might go in future for the Coleman northstar lantern

Coolbox I think I will go for the Coleman 50

Stove now I'm in 2 minds as originally I was going to go for the Campigaz 400 xcelerate however I have since seen this and the great reviews that go with it have really got me curious however both the wife and I have no experience cooking with petrol lol
