We have had a suitcase stove and used it for about six years with no problems at all, even used it at home when our main cooker died.
I did notice on tv that they used the stove in the case, which I am sure is not a good idea.
Also dont use a pan that is larger than the stand as this will heat up the gas canister and could cause a fire.
