If the pans are old sometimes the non stick stops working. It does make it much easier for cleaning at pot wash if you don't have to worry about soaking the pans sometimes. Might be better to invest in a little more expensive set so they last longer.

We've had our camping non-stick set for about 15 years and they are stil non-stick so well worth the £30 I paid all that time ago.
