I tried a load of self inflating mattresses last year, after frustration with air beds (however found coleman airbeds an not had a problem since with airbeds) - my conclusion was that with self-inflaters you defiantely get what you pay for. The cheap ones were rubbish and the expesnive ones (Thermarest) were defiantely the best, and noticably better IMO.

So, spend what you can...

This may seem a daft question,(my OH insists I ask it) but...........................is there such a thing as a double self inflating mattress ??

I think thermarest do some sort of strap thing that fastens 2 together to make a double.

Outwell double mat is £39.99
