That's exactly what I used to do when using normal terry towels as it was the only way then to keep the drying time down for them.
Trouble was that my hubby, wouldn't even do that to lower his wetness, (well....not his exactly, but the towels DOH you know what I mean). Seems that he just wants everything to be just like it is at home, when we're away!
Hi Hippy, well done you for getting them to take the conversion - I bought some Lidl hand towels last year to try out and the entire family hates them with a vengeance! And they dry so quickly too, so what can I do!!!?

Keep chucking 'em at 'em or.......get a new family
I have found out that they seem to get more absorbent the more they're washed though, (without fabric softener natch!)
Also discovered that a bit of deviance, (spelling?), on my part by simply not mentioning the 'm' word, (microfibre), with the Lidls ones seemed to pull the wool over my hubby's eyes and while he told me that he didn't think much of 'em the first time he used one for his shower....he continued to use them for the w-h-o-l-e two weeks with no more mention of them!
Coz they really feel more like 'normal' towels I think this helped my subtifugeNot sure that's the word I meant there peeps....sorry....fibro brain afoot again today

Disagree here - Richard gets the towels soaking wet and he doesn't have loads of hair. I think its just men.
