Just had a brainwave and decided to try the 'search' function and actually found a few posts. The bucket method seemed to be the most preferred.

I don't see any issue with chucking it somewhere it can't be seen and where it will rot down into the soil, eg. in some brambles or unmanaged long grass which isn't part of a pitch. I suppose it would be more sensitive to the environment to use Ecover washing up liquid if you do this.

The CS we use is very rural and "au natural" and we have been told to put the grey water in the hedge.

I wouldn't put it in the CDP without asking the site owner if this is their preference.

I take mine to the site sinks as we go no electric.A woman in the next paddock though had a bowl and stand but she had EHU and a water pitch.

i just wash mine at the tent and then throw the water under the hedge at back of the tent, wouldnt do it though if i was in the middle of a load of other tents

I put them in the wash basin with the liquid and take to the wash facility, wash and rince then return back to tent to dry them with towel and pack.

The less stuff I need to take the better. Camping is to get away from all the household items not take them with me. I also use plastic plates and cuttlery, much lighter to carry.
