I don't want to put a fly in anyone's ointment but thought it was worth a mention for those who are packing, that the Sibir fridge needs to be completely level in order to work in a car.
I don't know if you need yours to be running on the journey, but if so, you will probably need to put it in the boot (or back of the estate)
We wanted to put ours on the back seat, with the seat belt around it, so that we could reach the contents easily en-route, but had to abandon this when we found it didn't work.
All of this thread could be me, too!!! Off tomorrow, getting up at 4.00 am for 5.30 start (always takes at least half an hour and someone nearly getting their finger chopped off to sort the bl....y bikes just before we leave). Still, at least we are going with friends who arrived today so hopefully will have the breakfast on when we arrive. Worn to a shred already ...
Thanks button, it sounds like you've got them all sorted. I wish I could whip up anything at all on a sewing machine, but I'm hopeless. Trying to organise everyone for an early night tonight ready for the early start.
all of this sounds like me too....been 2 days sorting, washing, ironing and packing and pulling out my hair ready for departure tomorrow for salcombe...then daughter came down with bug ( we hope that';s all it is ) on Wednesday, was in hospital this morning, but they discharged her thankfully ....trying to get fluids down her as she is incredibly tired and de-hydrated ( urine sample showed 4+ ketones - for those of you out there who are nurses and doctors ! ) and not sure if we'll make it tomorrow...depends how she is....
