My God aren't you all silly!?

First of all if you are pitched the correct distance apart you shouldn't be able to hear your neighbours snoring/TV/ kids/radio/conversation/callofnature or anything if everyone has a bit of consideration and does things quietly, especially after 9pm or certainly 11pm.

Secondly, each to their own. If a guy wants to watch telly, let him, if a guy needs a pee in the night, let him.

Going back to the TV in tent thing tho', after watching it, its best to stow it away in your car because of the condensation that affects tents.

BTW, I am a very bad snorer and can't help it. I put up a sign outside my tent telling everyone this so they can choose to pitch next to me or not. I'm usually Billy no mates in the corner!

Guys, the answer is to follow rugby instead !

On a serious note, let's not turn camping into every other leisure pursuit in Britain where people are only interested in themselves and their families. Screaming parents at school sports days, folk letting their childeren charge around in pubs and restaurants, people setting down right on top of you on an empty beach and then spending the day arguing at the top of their voices!

The great outdoors is for everyone to enjoy, with a respect for others and their surroundings. Those of us who have camped all over the place for many years have to accept that for what us is a real passion has now become a "must-do" fashion for thousands of people. We should encourage the newcomers to enjoy the real experience, and they must understand that we are worried that what we love is fast disappearing.

That way, we all have a chance to enjoy ourselves together, individually.

peas1977, trust you got the info you required about running the tele in your tent, shame some people went off on one about it. Thread trimmed accordingly and locked

Have fun

Ian
