Mine came today too. Haven't taken it out of the box yet though.......but I've got (or will have tomorrow) a tent to go with it!!

No stove yet though.....

I'm new to camping, and I got a Kamp Commander Field kitchen which was great for having in the tent as a work surface and larder but don't like cooking in the tent, we was putting our Gelert double burner with grill on our table outside to cook but having to move it every time we wanted to eat, so was wondering if you could leave the camp kitchen outside, as the work surface is made out of what looks like ply board.

Hello Possum and welcome to the forum. First post!!

You are right not to cook inside the tent but I would only leave a kitchen outside open to the elements if it were all metal; moisture will get inside any wood and cause it to swell. Other than that, many do leave their cooking equipment outside open to the elemnets. Alternatives include getting a kitchen tent (though many sites charge extra for these) or under the tent's canopy (if it has one) or a tarp.
