Hi camper mad. I seen your complaint on freeindex as well, I also posted on there. I got a awning from them that leaked terrible, long story short I had to send it back at my expense, they had my money and the awning for weeks and after a great length of time they sent me a e mail saying nothing wrong pay for the return. Contacted Amazon who were totally hopeless ,if fact told me that they encouraged them not to give refunds. I was livid, went to my local CAB who were brilliant, sent them a letter giving them two weeks to refund my money or county court. Day before the two weeks were up the money went back into my account from Amazon., who two weeks earlier said it was nothing to do with them.
Sadly they wouldn't refund the twenty pounds it cost to return the awning and Amazon offered me £5 of my next order. Have never dealt with either again. Amazon were just as bad as peak outdoors as far as I'm concerned.
Also I noticed that free index have put yellow triangles next to the so called 5 star reviews for peak outdoors stating the accounts cannot be verified, now there's a surprise.

I purchased an item from Peak Outdoors which was supposed to be new. After a long delay they sent out a second-hand item and would not put the problem right.

I have had to resort to making a Section 75 claim under the Consumer Credit Act to get my money back. Peak Outdoors have broken the law in terms of both the Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling Regulations.

This is the worst customer service I have experience in a very long while. They were plain nasty.

What I would suggest is that a class action lawsuit is brought against Peak Outdoors. This is quite easily done as Peak Outdoors are clearly breaking the law.

I have complained to Trading Standards for Mansfield and Peak Outdoors are "Known" to them.

I do quite a bit of litigation, so could lead the class action against them. I have been reading on several forums what some customers have been put through. Peak Outdoors have broken at least two sets of laws so far (Sale of Goods Act and Distance Selling Regulations). If you paid by credit card you are also entitled to an immediate refund under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act so you should talk to you card company and state "I wish to make a claim under Section 75 ...." then the card company will claw the money back from Peak Outdoors.

i have to say i am shocked by these reviews of peak outdoors, i have been using them for years & never had any problems even when i have returned goods, i do find a lot of reviews are only ever posted when somebody has a problem you don't see many reviews to congratulate a company on good service, i think it should be balanced out a bit not everyone wants to moan about everything all the time-how depressing

It's a bit late to moan about posts made last year.
