had a few colapsable water carriers that leaked but got a new one at gooutdoors last night, they are really usefull!! i like them big barrel thingys that caravanners have that they pull behind them, saw them last night and had to drag myself away as was on my own and OH would kick my but if i got one, ' just get a tent, nothing else', was his last words to me when he left for work! got a tent, the one that was next to the lovely nevada M (cann't afford one) then when OH came home he said it wasn't tall enough so i went back last nite n got the next one up AND two fleece tops, two doggy stakes(av two already), a light n some tiny dominoes - sod him!
plastic egg box (why i bought it in the first place i have no idea) - cracked 4 eggs as soon as i shut the lid
foldup picnic table - after wanting one for 12 months bought one on offer in argos for £15 and was well chuffed, but after being extremely uncomfortable on it last week i don't think we'll be giving it car space again.

KARSTEN CAMPERS DO IT WITH INFLATABLES (OO ER!)
I wish I hadn't bought a self-inflating foam-filled sleeping mat. It turned out to be more uncomfortable than the pair of thin mats I was using and so it's hardly been out of its bag.
In fact, all the things I regret buying have been associated with sleep. Cheap sleeping bags, a 'LiLo' style airbed, a self-inflating pillow - all failed to live up to expectations.
The item I least regret buying was the LED head-torch I got dirt cheap in Asda - it has proved invaluable and so much more practical than a hand-held torch.

Rechargeable lantern with remote control. The idea being that as you stumbled back to your tent, you could switch it on as you approached the tent thus enabling you to see your way in. It worked beautifully apart from one major flaw - it didn't work in the dark! No problems during the day - worked from about 50 meters away but in the dark? absolutely nothing doing!
We've got two of those - a Gelert fluorescent and an LED one - and they both work really well. At Three Cliffs Bay, we were camped right at the top of the field and could turn on the lamp in the tent as soon as we were through the gate at the bottom.
