Not particularly. If you've music on in the car you won't notice it.
It runs continuously on 12V but cuts in and out according to your thermostat setting on 240V.

The noise maybe intrusive if you are running it in your tent at night. All these type of coolboxes, ie the cheapest type make a bit of noise. £40 this time around so not the bargain it once was but competitive price though.

Brought one last year with 12/240V and no need for a transformer, and it works very well.

This one looks like it is 12V only.

The one they have on sale at the moment is a 12v/230v and looks incredible value. It's decent size too - 29litres.

Although it's called a 12v one if you look at the box it clearly says it runs on mains and if you look at the pictures it clearly shows a mains plug as well as a 12v plug
