Hello Everybody,
Could anybody offer me any advice on tent lamps. The Nightsearcher rechargeable lantern caught my eye but then I read some of the reviews on here. Does anybody on here have anything good to say about it or any other rechargeable lanterns? In fact are rechargeable lamps any good, in theory they sound good but it seems as though people on here have had problems with them. I don't really fancy a gaz lamp and I'm a bit weary of battery power.
Any advice much apprectiated
Thanks

We use solar powered garden lights. Ok, you wouldn't use them for everything but we use them at night. Kids have em whilst getting reayd for bed and I can ususlaly make a brew by one whilst OH reads a mag.

We use rechargeable lanterns and find them really good, they have a remote control so you don't have to get up to turn them off ! We recharge them up from the cars cigarette lighter.
Also have a very old gas lantern which is very good, but noisey so tend to use it outside. For all others we use rechargeable batteries and have an adapter which fits in the car to recharge them.
Good luck

We have three Coleman rechargeable lamps and they are excellent. Highly recommend them. We just recharge them the next day on the EHU whilst we are out for the day.

We used one bought from woolworths. Will last for about 8 hrs on a full charge. Went to Scotland last summer for 5 nights - didn't need recharging until we got home.------------- Happy days

I was in Salford Quays recently and spotted a wind up lantern in the shopping centre for £9.99. A few good winds seem to last for ever and it's brilliant!------------- Batman lives on in North Yorkshire
