Although this will be our fourth trip this weekend (3 nights) with terrential rain on the horizon but thats ok, I find it really hard to pack minimally. Our car is heaving as it is without all the 'JUST IN CASE..' stuff.
Does anyone have any tips/rule they stick by for items of clothing per person? I'm trying to convince hubby to take shorts in stead of bulky jeans I am soo indecisive and this makes me take far too many clothes. Help!

------------- Dreaming of next adventure.....when my back is better :(
If I were pushed for space and going for 3 nights I'd take the following: Wear one pair of jeans, T shirt and sweater. Take underwear (obviously), one pair of shorts, 2 T shirts, waterproofs and jogging suit as PJs. The jogging suit can then double as spare trousers/sweater in emergency eg. major spills or a good soaking.
I wouldn't dream of wearing the same pair of trousers for 3 days at home but it's different on a campsite. Charcoal stain on the left leg? Who cares?
For three nights I would wear a set of clean cloths and take a full change with me for emergencies plus underwear and socks for each day and waterproofs. I used to take loads of clothes with me when I went away but a few years ago had a look at what hadn't been worn at the end of the holiday and realised that I could have got away with half the stuff.
We all put clean clothes on before we go. If kids still clean they can wear them again next day, take enough clean undies to last everyone. we all have spare set of clothes plus extra top each
Might try OH in shorts easier to wash his grubby knees then, he always manages to kneel in something (still not grown up yet)
My usual rule is what I arrive in to "set up" is what I wear on going home day to "pack away" as most of the time on these days are spent crawling around packing / un-packing ....
