Is the annex the tall annexe or the standard annex?
I have two standard annexes with easy alloy poles. You make an upside down U shape with the poles (like a set of goal posts) and place this at approx 45 degrees. The corners of the U go into the corners of the Annex and the spiky bits go roughly level with the zips.
Tension it up and peg it out.
Took me 3 goes to get it looking right - all depends on the slope of the pitch.
I dont think that it will work for the tall annexes.
A friend has the tall annex on his Dorema and he has to build it like a little house.!!
A house shape at the back which is connected in three places - the centre and either corner to the main frame. That may be why you have lots of poles - I have 3 and 2 corner bends.
Erect the main awning. Zip the annex to whichever end of the main awning you want to put it, taking care to use the outside zip of the annex. Put some temporary pegs on the outside to make the final shape. Make a "goal post" with the 2 angled uprights by joining them in the middle with the T piece and the 2 short single poles. Each of the uprights have a bracing pole so make sure you get them the right way round. Push the goal posts to the back of the annex and it will start to take shape. Extend the bracing poles on each side and angle them at 45 degrees back towards you. Push the end of the remaining pole into the T piece and attach the other end with the clamp to the roof pole on the main awning. Re-tension all the poles and re-peg the annex on the outside. Do not put too much tension on the pole that is attached to the main awning pole.
For privacy, you can if you want, attach the spare side of the main awning to the inside zip that still remains on the annex or you can use an inner tent.
To erect the inner tent, peg the inner tent out, inside the annexe with the door to the front. There will be 2 rear fabric attachments on the inner tent which will attach to the back horizontal pole of the annexe and the 2 on the front will attach to the nearest roof pole of the main awning. Put elastic bands with hooks on which will make it easier to attach to the poles.
Steve noticed I may have had too many poles and your instructions sound like I should be on to a winner.
I won't get a chance to try out the annex again until the weekend but I will certainly have a go with a lot more confidence now - and not feel like I'm on the Krypton Factor.
