Are you on about the thule ones?

They seem to be quite expensive for what they are £150+
and I would be a bit concerned about whether they were totally waterproof.

They are available on line from Thule by the looks of it, or the Roof Rack Shop.

No, really?!

Don't know where you can buy them, but they look interesting.

As well as the Kanga there are these

http://roofbag.com/

who say they export to Europe.

Or my local Tesco Extra has some in at £30 at the moment, two sections, one with wheels, with a cover. Not a brand I recognized (Kanga in particular seem to be a big maker of these in the US) but worth a look perhaps.

We have a thule ranger 90 which is a folding roofbox - and its great!!

Got it from http://www.car-roofracks.co.uk.  It cost £136.54 and that was including an extra £5 on the normal delivery charge cos I wanted it overnight delivery - not bad seen as halfords were gonna charge me £150!

It's great because not only does it take far less space up at home cos it tucks under the bed, it also means that when we have unloaded it at the campsite we can fold it and store it in boot.  Great if you plan trips out cos means height barriers etc in carparks aren't a problem.

Edited to say that I've just looked at the website again and its gone u since i bought it - it would now cost you £141.54 (thats inc the £7 delivery charge).  I still think its a good buy and thats cheaper than a lot i've seen.

As for the waterproof question, we drove home when it was raining and altho some of our stuff in there was packed in the plastic vacuum bags, a lot wasn't and it didn't get wet.  It seems pretty waterproof to me.
