Hubby went to Aldi's this morning with his 'list' .
He bought -
230v pump - this is the second one we have had from them. It works brill hope it lasts longer than last time.
2 small tables - these seem ok for the price. Not as good as our more expensive larger roll up table but easier to move round and more flexible.
Kitchen stand - useless. Soldering was rubbish and one of the clips fell off whilst we were erecting it .. There were sharp edges that can cut fingers and missing parts. It will be going back. We will continue to look for another stand like that but better quality, if that exists.
Picnic rug .. wasn't on his list cost £5. Looks OK.

oh dear, I bought the kitchen stand today- better get it set up just in case this one drops apart and needs returning. If I do go back tomorrow, I will get some of those poly cotton sleeping bag liners that I was going to buy but then changed my mind. I also got the cool box, and an impulse buy on the picnic rug, cos it's got a shiny backing! Bargains!

Raced off to Aldi to get one but like hlk01 it's going back. Unstable, a bu***r to put up, a part fell off and it bit my finger when I was trying to 'unfold' and clip on the shelves. Pity as it looked great in the picture.
Hope this helps if you wanted a roofbox and aldi sold out.
I bought the Aldi roof box today and opened up the box just to see if everything was ok. The inside has a sticker with "Mont Blanc XS 3200". The box also has proper hinges which I'm told is a good thing plus a 3 year warranty.

Also, I notice that the self-inflating mats are £10 each - has anyone tried them? I wondered how thick they were. I'm still in two minds whether to put the kids on the basic foam mats or get self-inflating mats - they didn't get on too well with airbeds, kept falling off!
Thanks,
Nicola
Bought a couple yesterday and I have one currently inflating as I "speak". It says it will inflate to 5cm (although the information leaflet says you should leave it for several hours on first use for the foam core to expand completely). Will see what it is like when it reaches 5cm and then decide whether or not to return it as I am not so sure how comfortable they should be. A quick test lying on it so far and I can feel the hard floor underneath (a wee bit). Otherwise they might suit the kids, while I invest in a couple of fat aircs for the grown-ups
Dimensions(cms): 188x66x5 Weight: 1.8Kg
Comes with a repair kit and the mat itself is designed with a zip and handle so that you roll it up into its own bag.
Agree with Richochet, I'm pretty happy with the mat we got, but it is only for our 4 year old daughter who previously had a rollmat (like yours she fell off airbeds). I haven't ever seen any FatAirics so don't know what I'm missing but for £10 I'm happy.
I bought two rollmats for me and OH - left 'em overnight and they're looking pretty good today. previously just had a no inflating rollmat so these are an improvement.
The ad for the roofbox said it came with 'fittings' and I assumed, wrongly it seems that you would have all that was needed to fix it on the roof. I take it the fittings are to secure the box to the bars that you need buy as extras. Maybe I was expecting too much for £70!
