You could try tthe Vango Venture 500. It is supposed to be a 5 berth but is a comfortable 4. Plenty of room for two and not too big - very easy to put up. Decent sleeping area and a nice size living area with good head height.
The venture 500 is produced by Vango for Millets and branded as the Ventura 500. It is discounted at the moment to £89 although you may well be able to pick up a Venture 500 for less. You can get a discount at Millets by presenting certain documents such as Scouting warrant and other voluntary organisation documents whichmight make it a competetive price. I have a VV500 and would agree that although it is marketed as a 5 berth tent it really is a 3 or 4 man tent with ample headroom in both the bedroom area and the extended porch area. We use ours for extended weekends instead of our Montana 6.
