Had this for over a year and as seen on previous threads the piezo ignition no longer works. I have taken it to bits, insulated the shorting out wires, worked OK a couple times but no longer working. I can live with this BUT it is useless in anything other than a very slight breeze, OK on full heat but as soon as its turned down to mid or lower heat setting it always blows out hence no confidence to leave it for more than 10 seconds. Anyone else have problem? Better still, does anyone have a solution???????????????????????

we have the problem with ignition but its never blew out!

Are you using a wind brake to cook behind or are you out in the open field area ?

Even a cadac will blow out in direct wind have you had a look at the burner to se if some of the jet holes are blocked?

we always use a windbreak so maybe thats why it hasnt blown out lol

none of jets are blocked. I am talking slight breeze not ant serious wind. Windbreak helps but not always. Have bought the lid, this also seems to help but the whole thing just 'does not seem to do what it says on the tin'.

Is there no way you could go back to the supplier and explain what is happening? I know your warranty is up but they still might be able to sort it for you. Its a shame cos its great when working properly!

I'm now on my 3rd Cadac 2 had the same problem, I took them back and they were replaced, no problem.

I would suggest you do the same - they didnt ask for a receipt.
