Hi I've just bought one of these for my Sedona, and was wondering if it will be ok to use in the OH's C-Max which has a heated front screen.
Does anyone know?

I have a Peugeot 406 with an older Go 300. I had to buy an extension antenna which fits to the roof via a magnet - works a treat. Picked it up off Ebay but cant remember how much it was.------------- Nigel

Try it and find out. I dont think heated screens effect the reception, I think its the uv proteced windscreens that stops the signal.
Or is it that you think the mount will fall off if you use the heated screen?

We had a Satnav in a Ford Mondeo and had no problems with it. The Mondeo also had a heated front screen.
We could not use one in a Renault Megane which had a heat reflective front screen - so I put in on the side window instead

Why not just switch it on and place it in the C-MAX for 5 minutes to see if it gets sat lock. ------------- R.I.P. Dottie Dog 24.08.1994 - 07.05.2007

I use the TomTom 710 in my Laguna without problems, at least in the UK. I took it with me to Italy last week where I hired a car for 4 days. The heat on the windscreen (about 30c) caused the suction cup to come off the screen. I ended up fitting it so the unit was laying on the dash and not putting weight on the suction cup but worked prefectly.------------- HelenD

Hi Glen
I have the tomtom 910 and it works fine in our Cmax
The only problem I have found is the unit is quite heavy for its screen mount so when you fit it to the screen it tends to drop whith vibration. I cured this when I made a plastic flat plate and secured it to the smoothe area on the dashboard just to the right of the upper glove box compartment with sticky backed velcro and secure the screen mount on to it and it works great.
