We have a Scenic Plus but are considering purchasing an Ultima 390 for the additional space and the fact they are still as easy to put up.
A friend who has an Ultima 260 claims the Scenic Plus is better and more rigid in wind due to the horizontal pole holding the two vertical poles more securely in place.
Anyone with experience of both, if so how do they compare?
Hi, I have the Ultima 260 and bought it after seeing a Scenic plus on a sight on the caravan next door, after looking how it faired in the rain, leave it unzipped and the rain gets in due to the slope of the roof and there wasn't a great deal of space in there.
This does not happen with the Ultima and the space is more usable as its footprint is approximately 8 foot x 8 foot with plenty of height( the light roof material, makes it bright in there). I have had mine up in some strong winds and was impressed by its stability, the three fibreglass poles are held secure with two horizontal poles that are tensioned and as long as it is properly guyed there is no problem,
