I think weight is not a problem. I have a fat airic and the only thing I find difficult to get used to is trying to get down on to it in a confined space. Once down I actually think they are more comfortable than an airbed as they provide more insulation and quite surprisingly I get hot when usin my mat compared to an airbed.

Does anyone know how long fat airic takes to inflate the first time in use

I have just received two today and and one has been inflating now for just over an hour and is still nowhere near the 7cm as advertised. thanks

should only need 10 mins or so. just top it up yourself if you need to. i close the valve on one side and blow into the other then do up

I usually "top" ours up with a bit of "puff" - the website recommends "a few breaths of air" to make the mat firmer.
