Hi, I'm new here so apologies if this post is in the wrong place! I've just returned from a trip to Rovinj,Croatia, camping along the way in Brugge, Zurich, and Venice all recommended. Unfortunately it was all a bit too much for my old and trusty Khyam Conquest flexidome which has returned a bit worse for wear. Does anyone have any suggestions for a replacement? I need at least a four birth tent with a living area that I can stand up in, I'm only 5' 3" so doesn't have to be a cathedral. Fly sheet first and easy to put up by one person in 10- 20 minutes. Not sure whether sewn in ground sheet is a plus or minus so any suggestions considered. Thanks
Thanks, I've been looking at the Khyam Freelander but it isn't quite as big as the conquest and the next size up is a rigidome and quite heavy. The freelander is definately worth considering though.
Hi we just recently sold our old Conquest 400 to a friend as we had changed our needs and gone for a very different kind of middle sized tent (a Vaude Opera).
I know what you mean about the Freelander - the bedroom seems a bit pokey to me in comparison to the Conquest bedrooms.
I would suggest you look at 4 berth tunnel tents, like the Coleman Columbus 400 - good specs, full SIG, manageable for solo putting up and some nice features like a big vent right across the back, and better living space than the Freelander.
