i am looking for camping carpets/mats to go in the living area of my tent, a suncamp festiva, but i also would like them to fit my vango idaho 600, i plan to camp nest july for 6 weeks and would then use the bigger tent, but also booked for may for 5 nights and will be taking my vango, fed up with the picnic rugs around the place.
Easiest way will probably be to check the ones for outwell tents and see if one of them will fit it. Most sites have the size diagram of the outwell tents including the outwell site, so should be relatively easy to do as long as you know the living area size of your tents.
Why not purchase some of the insulated underlay for laminate flooring from somewhere like B&Q - you can then cut it to size, stick some velcro on the underside and on your SIG (if you have one) and there you go. Folds down really small and is really warm under foot. It's cheap so you could buy enough to make a made to measure 'carpet' for each tent.
clare thanks for that tip, i have some underlay in the attic, now will it go all soggy if wet?? i suppose it will keep the cold out, and its cheap as chips.
I wouldn't have thought it would go soggy as it's not an absorbant material, but to be honest I don't know - I guess if you have some in the attic it's worth trying a small piece of it before going to the trouble of cutting it to size.
As for your bed question, I stick a fleece blanket between the airbed and the sheet - keeps the cold out a treat.
