I have a Coleman dual fuel lantern but it doesn't work. I follow the priming instructions but it won't light and there is no evidence vapourised fuel is making it through to the mantles.
I think it needs a thorough service - does anybody have an idea where I can get this done? I live near Cambridge so anywhere within a 30 mile radius would do.
Are the tiny holes blocked with sooty muck...that could be stopping the vapour to get through....if they are find a sewing needles and carefully pock it down the holes...good luck with it ...if no joy...i would personlay take it to a camping shop thats sells them and ask there advice.....

The lesson is : NEVER TRY .
You can get replacement generators (vapouriser tubes) for the colemans for about £6. We use about 6 Colemans at our Scout Group and last year we accidentally left some fuel in the tank over the winter. The next time we used the lamp it caused deposits to block the tube and I had to replace it. look here about 3/4 of the way down the page.

Weve had a problem with ours this year but I think the mantle is damaged and not able to contain the vapour. Will be trying a new mantle first. Could this be your problem???
