You may have a point there Opensauce. I was reading posts on a motorhome forum recently and quite a few people on that site swore by the effectiveness and price savings achieved when using perfumed biological laundry fluids.
Not tried it myself yet but will do so when it's time to replenish the Thetford stuff I am currently using.
After all, if it doesn't work it can go in the washing machine!
Yes. Use the cheapest nastiest bio liquid you can get. The sort that would bring you out in a rash if you washed your clothes with it. The idea is that it eats the toilet contents. Seems to work as well as the blue chemical.
In our old van we used the fenwicks products and all worked fine. However, we have bought a new van and it no longer has a flush toilet tank, instead it feed the flush direct from the water supply. We found on our last fortnightly sojourn that the fenwicks left a very strong smell of urine permeating the van.
I think it best I go back to the Elsan blue that I always used to find better scented.
