Do I go for fleecy lined or should I buy size bigger and get a wellie liner?
Any suggestions ? (My old ones just split at the ankle, I bought my normal size but I have to make a slit in the back to fit my calves in !)

I once had a pair of fleecy lined wellies which I got from a charity shop, I wore them for a few winters before they finally split. Since then I've never been able to find any, so have had ordinary ones with wellie liners - the problem there is I only have small feet (size 3) and wellie liners don't come that small. Anyone any idea where I can get some proper fleecy lined wellies?------------- Tigermouse

I have a pair of Toggi wellingtons, they are now into their third year which is a record for me!!
They are not fleecy lined but I just bought my usual size and I can get socks on with them! They come in different colours too!
They are stronger than the "fun" type of wellies,I went through 3 pairs in one year, they tend not to be designed for hard work!
I have a pair of the Crocs wellies but they size perculiar, the size I have does not really have much space for socks and the size above is massive!!

Hi,
If you have the big calf fitting into wellies problem may I recommend Hawkeshead wellies with liners. Works like a dream.

Hunters are my favourite because they fit your foot really well. I am a 5 but buy a 6 and wear thick socks with them in the winter. At least then I can warm up the socks on the radiator before putting the wellies on - keep me nice and warm!
