Cannot help on the unit as i have not seen.
AV lead is for connecting to another TV. Difficult to say without seeing the accesories on a bigger picture but would imagine it will come with an AE (standard aeriel) socket as it says it is capable of connecting an amplifier or outside aerial. Would think that on its own aeriel you would get limited reception unless in a high quality reception area, having said that a guy was using one in a burger van on Skegness beach in October and he had perfect reception.
Very few on the market at the moment so not a lot of choice but it looks a fair price.
