I buy all our meat there plus dog food and various other bits and bobs.
Camping stuff we have bought there and been very happy with -
3 season sleeping bags,
Igloo wheeled cooler,
Coleman single mantle lamp ( was only 20 quid at the time!)
large double layer picnic blanket we use as a carpet.

latest aquisition is a Satnav with europe maps .. hubby happy bunny!
I also buy their ready curries for the first night of camping.. so easy to heat and serve, the bacon, sausages, steak of course, wine boxes ( 5 litre oops)
I must try that mash someone mentioned..
Oh just in case there is any doubt the fee is paid yearly and is not just a joining fee. Worth every penny to us.

I've just been looking through this thread. I note that the Coleman Columbus 10 is back in - but at £199!! It was down to about £130 last year. Are these very old stock? Does Coleman still make the Columbus 10?
Regarding COSTCO, I have noticed that they seem to stock certain things in bulk at a greatly reduced price. For example, my mother wanted a new TV; she had decided on a model and I found a very good price for her at a place where I often get such things and which is usually one of the very cheapest in the country. COSTCO just happened to have the same model in and were about 20% cheaper.
We went to Costco last week, first time oh has been, I love it, the bacon, kids snacks juice everything we needed and in big sizes too, suits me as we are a family of six, things like kitchen and loo roll never go amiss. Now storing everything that's the problem.
Going on my way home tonight to get chocolate-filled crepes (yes - really - that's all I'm going for!!). I'm going with a friend - I don't need anything, but the crepes are a must!
Ours is really close and 'en route' to Tesco - so I go there and get my regular bulk buys - meat, diet coke, cartons for the kids lunch boxes and anything we have run out of (although some things you have to buy so much of that it can be a long time between purchases).
We really like the mango chutney (it comes in a litre carton though so lasts ages) and the cookies.. not so keen on the muffins.
Sometimes I just go there to feed the kids, especially if OH is away - pizza and a drink for under £2 each...
I have trade membership (even although I am not VAT registered) and I have several friends on my card - additional members are cheaper so we split the costs evenly. I think it is costing about £17 each at the moment.
You do have to know your prices though - some things (e.g. Walkers crisps) are cheaper in Tesco and you don't have to commit to buying and storing huge amounts.
From my experience, those who are on benefits are much better off than those who work. Thus can more than afford the Costco membership. as I said I am only going off my experiences. Sorry if I offend anybody, but thats how it seems to me.

Sorry JonB35 I wish that was true, I'm my wife's carer and we're Costco Members. We recoup more than the cost of the membership throughout each year on our main purchase each visit, several cases of milk [most times the only thing we buy apart from meat and the odd cake]we fill our chest freezer with the 2 ltr cartons. We don't smoke or drink, so spending £29 per year which we make back in savings, is something even we can afford.
And I'm not offended, as the small group of people who abuse the benefit system are responsible, for everyone on benefits being tarred with the same brush. I only wish I had the sort of money that they give the impression of everyone on benefits having.
