Goodness me! How long are you going away for??? I've never met anyone with a freezer on board! Most ppl manage with a fridge and buy fresh meat when they get where they're going. I sometimes freeze the meat I'm going to be using the day after I arrive (usually mince) and the day after that(usually sausages), it slowly defrosts and helps to keep the fridge cool on the way.
I carry a table top freezer every holiday i brought mine from curry's for £99 2 years ago i travel with in the caravan and it stands in the awning while we are away great asset

I did not think that the domestic type freezers liked to be subjected to the amount of joogling around it must get while travelling in a caravan!
Jennifernn mine travels very well it sit in the between the front seats of the van and we pack things around it to cushion it,we let it stand for 2 hours before we turn it on and it's been fantastic and still going great traveling do'es it no harm

We go away for around 2 weeks at a time and try to avoid going to the shops because there are 7 of us and take all day trying to round them all up lol.
