We worked out the £s with ours.A full sunday dinner for 7 people £22 pounds in the resturant on site, same food, £52.Thats just using the cobb for 1 meal with a pressure cooker and the grill. Two camping trips my cobb had paid for itself.

interesting way of looking at it!!!
did you factor in the cost of cooking fuel and washing up liquid?
Unfortunately we didn't get to try the Cobb -the wind got the better of us after the first night! Will hopefully have something to report after our next trip in May ...that's assuming I haven't already become impatient enough to try cooking the Sunday roast on it beforehand!

Hi Cas,

Hi Mary ....... don't wait lol
Light the Cobb outside, and when the briquette's are ready for cooking, bring indoors ..... I use mine on the draining board
You can safely carried it when alight, and once ready to cook there's no smoke
Have been know to pop on the table for toasting marshmallow's
Just be careful when you are using indoors...the last time we did the Carbon monoxide detector started ...so just watch that you are doing....... now if we use ours indoors...we have the door open and stand the cobb on top of the glass cooker top with the cooker hood chimney turned on...and had no problems since..
