Hi

I'm grateful for any advice anyone can offer on cooking stoves.  We've used a fairly bog standard gas 2 ring stove with mini grill for several years and whilst it's OK, a slight bit of wind means it takes approx 3.5 days to boil a pan of water.  I've started looking at the Coleman 2 ring dual fuel stove as I've read that running on unleaded means that it burns hotter but is it more wind resistant and how long does the petrol last?, also it doesn't have a grill- and we like toast!  My ideal requirements are- for a strong 2 ring stove that can take on a bit of wind and something that can grill for toast- and if this means to separate cookers- it would all need to all be fairly compact.  Any ideas?

I agree i got one of these and toast taste better and takes seconds, great peace of kit, wouldnt cook toast any other way now on camping holiday.

 I got 2 of these cost me £9.99 each they come in there own carry case the gas for them cost about £1.50.

or a pack for £5 they if you got them on all the time about 2hrs i gone for a weekend on one can. didnt find it take forever to boil the water.

plus you dont need to find the matches as they got auto little.

Deffo agree with the toaster got two ourselves, brill. also got two of the suitcase stoves great for picnics, but used them in Scotland last year took ages to come to the boil, not very good in cool/cold weather. Got petrol single burner now to combat that problem. Even tried windsheild around stove made up from anything we had in the van.
