So the camping season has finally started but I am so disappointed that there have been so few post regarding new gadgets for us tenters. Surely there are new things to keep an eye on this year. The only thing that has taken my fancy is the new Outwell sliding canopy which could be used in the garden for those not so good weather BBQ's.

I like the look of the outwell canopy but as we already have the outwell oklahoma day tent we wouldn't really use it. As for other gadgets, I haven't seen very much around either - the only thing i've brought recently is a fold away BBQ for camping.

here's a newish gadget I bought last year to replace my Coleman dual fuel lantern-- Luxeon k2 led Camping Lantern by Silverpoint, available at Cotswold for £25
Why this Led lantern when there are so many about with a much cheaper price tag?
-Luxeon bulbs are superior in terms of durability and brightness compare to others on the market
-extremely efficient, uses only 3 aa batteries to operate
-extremely compact size; weights only 197.6 gr including batteries
-extremely powerful for such a tiny thing
-much safer to use than the Coleman dual fuel
-versatile; can be used anywhere including inside the bedroom pod
Hey pauljacey I know what you mean about preserving that camping feeling,thats why I have resisted using EHU for the last 10 years. But I have to move with technology and the K2 ticks all the boxes.
