I have the double burner and grill which is a year old and I was quite impressed with the grill, compared to grills I had a number of years ago. It worked well for us and I would have no complaints. Having said that, as a space saving measure this year we have invested in a Campingaz Party Grill and will be leaving the 2 ring at home.
I have one that came with adaptor and carry bag for just under 40 quid and no complaints so far, though I've got to say we hardly use the grill except to keep pre-cooked food warm and we're only cooking for two. More importantly it takes two good sized pans, is rugged and sturdy enough to take a good bit of knocking about, and has child-friendly controls and a good sized wind shield built in. The grill itself is only the size of a single piece of bread so don't be expecting to grill a dinner for four under it. If you do get one a useful tip is make sure to keep a multi-tool or small screwdriver packed with it for attaching the hose safely.
The best grills are the ones which are enclosed - we've got an elderly enamel 2 burner with grill & it works great. However, many of the new cookers have open sides & back to the grill section, hence a lot of heat is lost, and the toast or whatever takes an age to cook.
Ermm we have two of the double burner + grill ones that we use with a small gas bottle.. we have two because some one drove all the way to Cornwall from Blackpool and upon reaching Newquey town center had this itchy kinda feeling about the cooker possibly still being sat on the kitchen floor waiting to be placed in the roof box... (nothing to do with me honest.. cough..).. anyways..
both of the grills are as you say not what you have at home.. but.. they do work.. toast is not as fast as a toaster.. but then we don't all go EHU do we... I tend to do fry ups by frying.. then place the done stuff under the grill, without the mesh part in the pan.. keeps it all nice and hot.
Can't tell you what one of our makes is as it is in the back of the car awaiting us to go away this weekend.. hehe don't take chances anymore.. but we do have the one you mentioned... works fine.
