Buy a box of wine and keep put in the freezer before you go, that's what I do, with a non electric coolbox anyway. I freeze cartons of orange juice too, keeps other stuff cold around it and lasts longer than freezer blocks. and when it starts to defrost and gets to the slushy stage its a fabulous hangover cure for the wine from the night before, also very nice in the gin or vodka.
Pop the wine bottles into poly bags first, surround bottle with ice cubes and tie down. Place in the box stood on ice packs. making sure you thoroughly chill the wine first.

I have been thinking the same thing since I was kindly given an electric coolbox.Is 110 amp battery the same size as a car battery.Excuse my ignorance.

I'm sure you all know this, but it might be worth repeating. Leaving a 12 volt cooler box, or fridge, plugged into a car’s lighter socket will quickly drain the battery.
If an afternoon doze takes away the attention and intention of pulling the plug before too much juice has been drained you can end up meeting some nice people.
In our case it was a couple from London who had the presence of mind to pack jump leads.
I, on the other hand, had left all presence of mind at home.
sorry dous any one know were i can get a leisure battery from that wont brake the bank will only need one to keep the coolbox- going for a week or 2 and top up the phone battery now and then
