I have read threads on this site about notebook charcoal BBQ's and the son of Hibachi BBQ which folds up into a fire proof bag. These all look really good but I would rather a gas BBQ as we like to use these for breakfast, lunch and dinner when the weather is nice and charcoal takes to long to get going. Does anybody know if there is a compact gas BBQ on the market as space is now becoming a real premium when we go camping?
When we went to French Caravan site a couple of years ago, we were told that only gas barbecues were permitted.
We didn't want to spend a lot of dosh because we thought we'd only use on this particular holiday.
We eventually chose the little CampinGaz table top jobbie that uses aerosol type cans of gas. It's relatively small and compact, has a non stick cooking surface, piezo ignition and since buying it we've not cooked with charcoal. It's a really fab little lightweight unit and at £30.00 plus the cost of your gas cylinder, we reckon it's a little gem.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
