Ive bought 2 of these today from my local morrisons. Only 3.00 and they have a 3 setting light display, magnets on base and a roof hook. Seem to kick out a decent amount of light.

B&Q have enormous million light lantern/torch thing, rechargeable from the mains and also from 12v cig lighter for £10

Tried it here in the dark and its so bright!

i brought 4 of the morrisons LED lights one for each of us and they are great give out so much light.

These are the sort of thing. You shouldnt pay more than a few pounds for them. I paid 3.00 but others have got them from poundland. (my nearest poundland is in town and parking costs a fortune )

We got some from Netto last week for £3 and they are really bright, I think they give out more light than out 8W lead lights and they are a lot less trouble. Tip - if they are like ours reversing one of the batteries for transit does not disable them it just makes them dimmer.

I bought 3 of these from Morrisons last year, with the idea that we'd probably need all three to light our frame tent. Guess what? One of them was plenty bright enough on it's own, so we just take one with us now. It certainly saves a lot of space in the car compared to our Coleman rechargeable lantern

How long do these last on a standard set of AAs (or rechargeables before they start going dim)?
