Hi all, I have been searching the message boards for help, it would appear my Numax 85ah battery is low of electrlite, I cant see the level, should it be above the plates, and is so how much? Would topping it up with deionised water help rejuvenate it or is it liable to be kapoot?
so long as its natural evaporation and it hasnt been knocked over then filling to just over the plates should be fine with the deionised water,but ofcourse letting it get so low could have boogered it

its nice to see some non sealed batteries are still about.
it may be wise to put a couple of "bat aid" tabs in each cell ,not found in shops around here but available on ebay ,whilst not a wonder cure i have used it on failing batteries with success
ours stopped a couple of years ago as have all the other sellers i used to use.
you can use a food ingredient EDTA (or EDTH) but thats just as hard to find ,takes a little more preparation though .i picked up a few containers of bat aid at a boot fare for future use luckily
