this might sound like a silly question but is it possible to get a regulator which is compatible with both butane and propane or do you need to get different ones, recently bought a sunnflair two ring/grill stove from Aldi and the regulator is for butane, would we ever need to be able to use different fuels? as you may garner we are new to camping. Cheers

Butane and propane have different connections on the bottles, so they are not interchangeable.

The only time that you would need to use propane would be in extemely cold sub-zero temperatures, as it has a lower freezing point than butane.

The regulators work at different pressures so if you have both gases you would need 2 regulators.
