We are going to South of France where ground is very hard. Been on site before so know what it's like. The Mistral wind blows as well. What type of Delta Peg would be best, please? We would be using them on our canopy. Use those heavy screw type for tent.

The ground is very hard, but we've been to the site for the past 3 years and have rock pegs, but had not heard of Deltas then! We had to keep taking tarp down cos of strong wind (Mistral). Thought Deltas might mean we could leave the tarp.

Hi g+t. I'm glad that you have some rock pegs. I have just emailed our patent attorney about a new application for them. Southern France may be the perfect place for them to be tested. They would be prototypes and made from polypropylene rather than nylon composite but I have tried them and they work extremely well.

We had the mistral last year. It does blow mighty strong. Our rock pegs didn't shift at all. We had a front awning for the tent which stayed up all the time. My worry is that if the pegs hold and something is going to give, the tarp might tear instead of the pegs coming out. A (Dutch ?) family near us had an enormous tarp which they kept up all the time.
