It is great at de-iceing you window, but not sure how it will work as heater, maybe not that much punch to it.

I really wouldn't want to be running anything (other than my motor mover) off my leisure battery.

Leisure battery cost £100 plus.I wouldn't want to abuse it by making run a heater.

I am happy to pay the £1 or £2 for EHU and use my vans heating or a fan heater and the sites electric.

Cost of battery £100 = 100 trips at £1 for EHU

I know that batterys are there to be used

I don't think it's powerful enough to do much in a tent. I have a 600W fan heater and it takes a long while to take the chill off, running on mains. The wattage of this one isn't stated but even if it is only 300 watts it woud flatten a leisure battery pretty quickly.

Sites in Scotland must be cheaper, Cath, I've never paid less than £2 for EHU and many are now up at £3.50 per night.
