ive just got myself a small lcd tv for my caravan its a 12 volt one so i was wanting to run it of my battery when i dont have elecy hook up
it come with its own plug adapter to turn 240 ac to 12 volt etc.
It also has a cigerette lighter conection "no good to me as i want to plug it into the fused 12 volt system ive put in my caravan, but this i think is a DC current will it damage my tv OR HAVE I GOT IT ALL WRONG.
ttfn.........
------------- people say "money talks" mine just ses "goodbye"
The tv runs off 12V dc; the adapter you got with it is just a power supply that converts 240V ac mains to 12V dc for the tv.
Not being a caravan owner I don't know what sockets you have for you 12V system, but you just need an adapter lead to accept the lighter plug and mate it with your van's supply.
------------- Please do not adjust your mind... there is a fault in reality
Your 12V cigarette lighter plug will run your TV off your leisure battery. !2 Volt systems are DC. We use an adapter like this to go from the flat pin sockets in our FC.
