I found the enduro mover fitted, two year guarantee for £735 and phoned powrtouch for a price match.

No problem said she, we can do that but it will cost an extra £95 for the guarantee. Oh! Said I, thats not a price match. Thats what you would be charged for a 5 year  guarantee if you had it with enduro. said she.

How can they offer a price match, like for like, when they are not willing to do the same terms.

I say powrtouch have just lost a sale, I bought the Enduro!!

Personally I feel that Powertouch have been perfectly reasonable because you are not comparing like for like. They have enough confidence in their product to give a five year warranty. If anecdotal evidence is anything to go by they are extremely good at putting their no quibble warranty into action. It would cost them money to do that so not unreasonable to make an adjustment to reflect the (rather short)  length of warranty offered by the competitor. Only time will tell whether you have made the right decision.
