Hi   We have just picked up out first trailer tent, a second hand Raclet which has a small curtained off area and we have decided to get one of those portaloo things, just for night time use.

Now looking in online camping shops, ebay etc there are so many to chose from that it's very confusing.

They are so many..... Thetford 163, 165, Camping Gaz etc .... what is the best one to go for?

Is Thetford the "best" brand or are they all much of a muchness?

There seem to be a few on Ebay, claiming to have had little use etc,  and at the end of the day a good wipe round with a domestos wipe will make it seem like new. Is there anything to look out for.... what is breakable on them.... what should we look out for? 

I know that you have to use special chemicals in them... are these expensive, is there a cheap outlet for them?  I have heard that you need to use special toilet paper in them, if so does anyone know why?

i have one sitting in my garage not being used that we tried to sell a while ago its an elsan with a flush system on it we only wanted a tenner but no one wanted it very clean too as for the toilet roll you can use tesco value paper we do in the van for the kid and is as good as the expensive ones and the chemicals you can get on ebay cheap
