Hi Bladesfan,

I use an Intex airbed, have never had a problem with it going down.  They are superb and at £20 worth a look. try http://www.only-airbeds.co.uk/Items/2008intx66720?&caSKU=2008intx66720&caTitle=Intex%20Queen%20Size%20Pillow%20Rest%20Airbed

good luck

Hi bladesfan, as a Donny fan I ought to tell you to go........but thats for another forum.

We used these: http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/5709388003935 and always found them comfy and not too bulky.

We recently bought these to put our fat airics on.

http://shop.justkampers.com/product_info.php/products_id/11021?osCsid=afc1fd649fbf09bb251765f209cd1629

They are huge, the airic fits on comfortably without touching the metal sides.

We like the versatility of having both the fat airics and the camp bed.  For our main holiday we usually do a fair bit of travelling abroad so we like to have the inflatable mats on their own for stopovers in the little tent.  For the main part of the holiday I thought the mats on top of the beds would be better.  Keeps all the bedding of the floor and we can store our clothes bags underneath.  That's the plan anyway!

You could always try out the fat airics and then get camp beds later if you've got space but they are comfortable on their own if you don't mind being on the floor.
