What is the most ridiculous item of 'I'll take it just in case' when you go camping?

I've taken river shoes when we were not even going near a river!

If we were flying off to a hotel I wouldn't be able to take any of this stuff so why do I feel the need to fill every gap in the car with camping stuff?

To think I neally just joined 'I'll take it just in case' club. and would have if I hadn't read this thread.

I was about to pack a sun dress as we are away to Northumberland on Saturday!

So do I join the club or not?

I guess that you are a female?!?!?!

I liked the second of the two photos in your gallery.  There is one taken of me on our last camp in a similarly exhausted "desparately-seekeg-rest" pose.

it's well known by caravaners that if there's a space in a locker or drawer then they'll be a 'just in case item' purchased very soon to fill it....until you suddenly realise everywhere is full of these 'what if items' and you have a clearout and remove everything you dont use leaving you with lots of space in the lockers and drawers which you then proceed to fill with........

lol - hmmm what makes you think that

re the photo - I was merrily setting up camp and wondered where my 'helpers' had gone, then found my daughter and dog fast asleep in the bedroom pod  we had only been at the campsite for about an hour

xoopsx

ps back to the thread - my other just incase items include a gazillion batteries for torches etc but most of my torches and lamps are wind up and we normally go EHU anyway
