Hello all,

Back from our trip ( really great!  ) and decided that our little single burner is not up to the job anymore, now our kids are beyond that 'nibbling' stage and are scoffing everything that moves! Even OH  is muttering on about needing a kitchen unit and double stove preferably with a grill ( yes have finally got him he has been well and truly bitten by the old 'love camping' bug this last trip , woo hoo! ) so will be needing any good advice on this subject to arm myself with should he decide a trip to the campshop is in order soon! Have seen all sorts and ones that come on a stand already? Any advice guys please....

BTW The maxcold cooler was SUPERB will post on this later !

Depends of course on the size of the tent.I cook virtually full meals with two burners and a grill. have it on a stand with two shelves below for pots and pans and a joining 3 shelves with a large thin chopping board on the top for a worktop.

Also useful are hang up larder for bread, cereals etc and hanging pockets for tea, coffee salt, vinegar, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar etc.

take a look at this for the stove..

http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/redirect.asp?redir=http://www.gooutdoors.co.uk/3138522036355

It includes the regulator, hose and clips, a carry bag.. double burner and grill..

All you need is the gas bottle and some food to put on it

We have a montana 4, and usually cook just outside under the extension bit as I dont like the stove in tent with the kids etc, too risky! Above looks great thank you!

we are looking at the outwell camping kithen with cooker stand and extra table bit its a bit steep at £60.00 but we are hoping to get it for a bargain somewhere later in the year. we have the outwell wardrobe/larder and its fantastic really sturdy and i get my food in it and all my plates cups etc so we are going to stay with the outwell make.

A tent is like a newborn born baby..... to some they all look the same..... but if its yours it's beautiful.

I have this.....

Campingaz Camping Chef Stove

and this......from argos

Kitchen Unit with Shelves and Windshield.

They are a great combo. Stove is powerful enough. and camp kitchen is a good height and has a cut out section on the windshield to feed your gas hose thorugh which is handy. these two  items along with the gas bottle do take up a bit of space in the boot though.

happy cooking! x
