I've just bought an Outwell Jupiter rechargeable Lantern and it doesn't have any instructions.  I've searched the internet and can't find any.  Can someone tell me how long does it take to charge and what is the point in the red and green 'charging' lights because the green one doesn't do anything and the red one comes on when you plug it in and stays on forever (or untill I unplug it anyway).... so how do I know when it is charged?

We have a jupiter (and wish we didn't but that's another story!)

Red light goes on to say "charging".

Green light will flash to say it's full.  DOn't know how long it takes off the mains 'cause our mains adapter never worked, but from flatish to full off the car adapter takes about 4-5 hours.

The tubes on our lantern are shot (used it about 20 times...) and can take up to 2 hours to reach full brightness, by which time the battery is starting to flag.  Can't decide whether to buy new tubes for it or just write it off and get something else!

Thanks for that.  Thinking I may take it back too.  seemed like a good idea at the time.  I have not experienced a flashing green light.
